This year’s Latinx Symposium explores the theme “At the Crossroads of History and Democracy” through the work and perspective of guest George Sánchez, professor of American Studies & Ethnicity and History at the University of Southern California and director of the Center for Diversity and Democracy. Sánchez is the author of Boyle Heights: How a Los Angeles Neighborhood Became the Future of American Democracy (2021) and Becoming Mexican American (1993).
All are welcome to attend two events during his visit:
Sponsored by the Leona Martin Latino Initiative Fund, Arlin M. Adams Center for Law and Society, Jewish & Israel Studies and the Association for Latinx and Allied Students.
