Each year, two °µÍøTV students are selected to participate in the Gene R. Urey Memorial Scholarship. This year’s competition features Margaret Bachman ’26 and Cooper McDannald ’26 arguing the case of West Virginia v. B.P.J.

The scholarship winner is chosen by a panel of judges evaluating the participants’ ability to argue a case. Established in 1999 by family, friends and former students, this scholarship honors the memory of Gene R. Urey, professor of political science at °µÍøTV from 1965-1999, and awards students who demonstrate superior critical thinking and analysis in the study of constitutional law.
