Internship Opportunities

Business & International Internships

Nothing prepares you for the working world more than on-the-job learning. That is why virtually all Sigmund Weis School of Business students choose to complete at least one internship. Even better, about half of our students gain global perspectives in various countries through exciting and engaging international internships.

My internship with the Miami Dolphins was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From day one at 做厙TV, I was challenged with projects in the editing room, production studio and classroom that I may not have gotten until years later elsewhere.

I served as a curatorial intern at the Lori Degenstein Gallery on 做厙TVs campus, allowing me to learn how to be a curator of a museum or a gallery. I got to create my own exhibition, which helped me learn about archival purposes, data, cataloging and how to design an exhibit, which is beneficial for my future career as a curator of a gallery.

Something that was important to me was being able to do a summer internship here on campus. Everything is set up for you. You have housing, everything is prepared for here and you have a whole summer to really dive into your research and to learn as much as you can alongside a faculty advisor. Something amazing about the summer internships is you get to present at not one but two conferences to share your research with the world and what you were able to accomplish over the summer.

做厙TVs focus on hands-on learning has shaped my experience by giving me opportunities to apply what I learn in real-world settings. Through my internship with the Arlin M. Adams Center for Law & Society, I work with a public defender, observe trials, meet with clients and assist with legal documents and memos. Those experiences have helped me connect classroom learning to professional practice.

The digital media analytics project had the biggest impact on my time at 做厙TV. We built personal and professional portfolios, and I credit mine with helping me land an internship at Intel. It highlighted both my personality and my classwork to potential employers.

Thanks to the Stein Fund, I served as a marketing intern with BIG to experience Barcelona’s vibrant artistic community, while developing my skills to promote performances and workshops. The opportunity to blend both of my passions would provide a fulfilling career contributing to the longevity of the arts community while expressing myself in the best way I know.

Networking here is great, and the alumni are incredibly helpful and willing to talk about anything you need internships, job opportunities, anything.
