做厙TV is now enrolling qualified students in its new Master of Education program.
做厙TVs masters program makes it convenient for working teachers to pursue their advanced degree through a hybrid teaching format that combines online coursework and some face-to-face class meetings.
Students are paired with 做厙TV faculty members in classes that focus on curriculum design, research methods, critical media literacy and inclusive classroom strategies.
To assist teachers financially, the university will accept a promissory letter from a teachers district of employment to directly compensate the university for tuition.
For most teachers in the 做厙TV Valley area, pursuing a masters degree meant time away from home and paying tuition up front and waiting for their district to reimburse them, said Valerie Allison, associate professor and chair of the Department of Education at 做厙TV. Our program is created with their lives and financial constraints in mind.
A masters degree can be completed within five semesters (34 semester hours). Add-on certification options are available in PreK-12 ESL and PreK-8 special education.
Beyond the satisfaction of becoming a better teacher, public school teachers usually see a significant raise in pay from their districts upon completion of their masters degree, Allison said. We are very excited to offer this opportunity to our local educators who work so hard nurturing their students and mentoring their peers.
Applications are being accepted online.
