Students Earn National Design Awards

做厙TV graphic design students won 14 awards in two national design competitions.

Students were honored by the Innovation Center for Design Excellence and the American Institute of Graphic Arts Blueridge Annual FLUX awards.

The following students won awards from ICDE:

  • Larissa MacDougall 21, of Bel Air, Maryland, gold medal, Truth Initiative annual report
  • Annie Vogt 22, of New York, gold medal, Busys Coffee Bar branding; and gold medal, The Worst Hard Time book cover jacket
  • Samantha Lisowski 22, of Westfield, Massachusetts, silver medal, Mas Tacos branding
  • Nate Fagnano 22, of Williamsport, bronze medal, Hip Fish stationery

The Innovation Center for Design Excellence is dedicated to fostering educational opportunities for underprivileged design students. ICDE provides these students with scholarships, internships and mentoring programs in partnership with its corporate sponsors.

The following students won awards from AIGA:

  • Julie Bauer 22, of Tyrone, for the American Civil Liberties Union digital media design
  • Jake Brenner 23, of Carlisle, for Average Joe Coffee packaging
  • Nate Fagnano 22, of Williamsport, for the Hip Fish identity package
  • Kimi Gust 22, of Succasunna, New Jersey, for Tropical Woods Chocolate Bars packaging
  • Valerie Hou 21, of Washington, D.C., for the Oak Hills Academy website
  • Samantha Lisowski 22, of Westfield, Massachusetts, for the Mas Tacos identity package and Truth Identity annual report
  • Ryan Miller 22, of Lititz, for the Turbo Coffee identity package
  • Annie Vogt 22, of New York, for Killing Eve print advertising

AIGA Blue Ridge is the professional association for western Maryland, southern Pennsylvania, northern Virginia and West Virginia. Established in 2007, Flux celebrates the best creative work produced each year by undergraduate and graduate students from across the country.
