Institute of Management Accountants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Felo was appointed to the IMA\u2019s committee on ethics, which maintains thought policies, thought leadership and intellectual property related to IMA\u2019s Statement of Ethical Professional Practices. The committee also provides input on ethical issues in professional development and commentary on draft pronouncements by regulatory bodies and other organizations. His second appointment was to IMA\u2019s research foundation advisory board, which reviews research grant applications to improve accounting and financial management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs a professor, maintaining professional affiliations is essential for staying current with industry trends, regulatory changes and best practices. These connections not only enrich my teaching but also help me guide students toward meaningful career opportunities,\u201d Felo says. \u201cOne of the most important things about being an IMA member is adhering to the IMA Statement of Ethical Professional Practice. As a certified management accountant, I am required to complete 30 hours of continuing professional education each year, which also helps me stay up to date on current practices in the field.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Felo\u2019s appointments benefit 做厙TV\u2019s business school students by bridging the gap between theory and practice, ensuring they receive timely industry insights and real-world applications that enhance their career readiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a result of his IMA membership, Felo has received grant funding to conduct academic research and develop future research ideas and full access to its data collections for studies. He will also be granted free access to case studies to teach in his classes at 做厙TV. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Felo earned his bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting from Bucknell University before going on to earn his master\u2019s and doctoral degrees in accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton. He holds credentials as a certified management accountant, certified finance manager and certified fraud examiner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"susqu-magzine-news-post-footer component alignfull\"
