Every&nbsp;sophomore is paired with two to three mentors who offer an uncommon level of personal and professional support.&nbsp;The model fills a gap faculty and staff recognized: first-year business students benefit from the guidance of upper-level student coaches through Global Business Perspectives, and juniors often find clarity through study abroad or internships. Second-year students, Programs Coordinator&nbsp;<strong>Kristie Buriak \u201999 Anderson<\/strong>&nbsp;explains, deserve their own dedicated layer of support.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cChoosing a career path can feel daunting and overwhelming. Having alumni offer a different perspective gives students confidence to make those big, life-changing decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center\"><em>&nbsp;Jay Monahan \u201907<\/em><\/pre>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThrough the mentorship program, students can ask questions directly of someone working in the career they\u2019re considering \u2014 what the role is really about, what the path looks like, what skills matter most,\u201d Anderson says. \u201cAnd because most mentors are alumni,\u201d she adds, \u201cstudents also receive advice about classes, majors and minors, and ways to maximize their 做厙TV experience.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The relationships formed through the program have quickly proven transformative. Students connect with mentors for r\u00e9sum\u00e9 reviews, interview preparation, job shadowing and discussions about internships and study abroad.
